Build Real Skills That Matter
Learn business communication that actually works in the real world
Our next program starts September 2025. We're keeping groups small because we've found that's when the best conversations happen. You'll work through real scenarios, get feedback that makes sense, and leave with skills you'll use right away.

What We Actually Believe About Learning
Look, we've been doing this for a while now. And we've noticed some things about what works and what doesn't.
Practice Beats Theory Every Time
We spend most of our time on actual scenarios. Last year, someone told us they used their third-week exercises in a board meeting. That's the kind of thing we're after.
Everyone Learns Differently
Some people need to see it, others need to do it first. We try to cover both because rigid programs just frustrate people who don't fit the mold.
Real Feedback Matters
Generic comments don't help anyone. We look at your specific work and tell you what could be better. Sometimes that's uncomfortable but it's how people actually improve.
Choose How You Want to Learn
We've built three different paths because not everyone has the same schedule or learning style. Pick what fits your life.
Weekly Live Sessions
Join us Tuesday evenings for two hours. We cover new material, work through examples together, and answer questions as they come up.
- 16 sessions over four months
- Small groups of 12-15 people
- Direct access during class time
- Weekly assignments with feedback
Self-Paced Option
Go through everything at your own speed. Same content, same quality, but you decide when to work on it. Good for busy schedules or different time zones.
- All materials available immediately
- Work whenever suits you
- Written feedback on assignments
- Monthly group Q&A sessions
Hybrid Approach
Mix both formats. Watch lessons on your own time, then join bi-weekly live discussions to work through tricky parts with others.
- 8 live sessions over four months
- Full self-paced library access
- Best of both approaches
- Flexible but structured
Who's Actually Teaching This
We don't have dozens of instructors. Just two of us who've spent years figuring out how to explain this stuff clearly. We've both made plenty of mistakes in business communication, which honestly makes us better at teaching it.
Rachel Winters
Corporate Communication Specialist
Rachel spent 12 years in corporate training before she started teaching smaller groups. She's particularly good at breaking down complex business scenarios into manageable pieces.
Linda Chen
Business Writing Coach
Linda worked in financial services for eight years before switching to teaching. She knows what confuses people because she's been there herself.
What a Typical Session Looks Like
We usually start with a quick review of what people struggled with last week. Then we introduce something new, work through it together, and practice in pairs or small groups.
The second half is always practical work. You might draft an email, outline a presentation, or work through a tricky conversation scenario. We walk around (virtually or in-person) and give feedback as you go.
Most people tell us the peer feedback sessions are surprisingly helpful. There's something about hearing how someone else interpreted your message that makes things click. Plus it's less intimidating than only getting instructor feedback.
