We Started With One Question

Why do businesses struggle with financial communication when the actual numbers tell a clear story? Since 2019, we've been answering that question by building tools that translate complex finance data into messages that actually make sense.

Built by People Who Got Tired of Spreadsheets

The idea came from a simple frustration. Mirabel worked in corporate finance for eight years and watched colleagues spend hours crafting reports that executives wouldn't read. The disconnect wasn't about intelligence—it was about translation.

Numbers don't speak for themselves. They need context. They need timing. And they definitely need fewer decimal points when you're trying to convince someone to approve a budget.

So we started experimenting with ways to make financial data more conversational. Not dumbed down—just human. The early prototypes looked rough, but clients kept telling us the same thing: "This actually makes sense now."

How We Approach Financial Communication

We don't follow templates or cookie-cutter frameworks. Every business has different stakeholders with different questions. Here's what guides our work.

Audience-First Analysis

Before touching any data, we map who needs to understand it. Board members need different insights than department heads. External partners need different context than internal teams.

Pattern Recognition

Financial data has rhythms. Seasonal trends, cyclical patterns, anomalies that matter. We train our systems to spot these automatically so you're not hunting through rows of figures at midnight.

Plain Language Summaries

Every number gets translated into what it actually means for your business. Not jargon-heavy explanations—just clear statements about what changed, why it matters, and what might happen next.

Founder & Lead Developer

Started coding financial models in 2015 after realizing Excel macros weren't going to cut it. Spent three years at a mid-size consulting firm before launching zorelliqamiq in early 2020.

Most of my work involves figuring out why a perfectly logical financial summary confuses everyone in the room. Turns out people process information differently depending on whether they're optimistic or cautious about the numbers.

Outside of work, I'm usually reading behavioral economics research or trying to convince my houseplants to stay alive. The plants are winning.

Programs That Adapt

We're launching new training formats in September 2025 for teams that want to improve their own financial communication skills. The focus is on practical application rather than theory.

Sessions run either as intensive three-day workshops or spread over six weeks with weekly check-ins. Both formats include real examples from your business, not generic case studies.

  • Small group sessions limited to eight participants for actual discussion
  • Custom scenarios based on your industry and reporting structure
  • Follow-up support for three months after completion
  • Access to our template library and communication frameworks
